Decisions

So, I have this decision. I kind of see myself on a see saw, sometimes balanced between the two decisions, sometimes leaning one way, sometimes leaning another. Last night the dh and I had a LONG conversation (at 10 PM - NOT my best time) and he just handed me a coin. "Flip," he said. Right. After days of researching and talking to people and exploring every nook and cranny, that's going to happen.

(I haven't made a pro/con list yet, though. I don't think I've sat long enough to!)

How do you make decisions? Do you take days or are you spur of the moment? Are you a list maker, or would you flip a coin?

I'm a list maker. Definitely a list maker.

I'm a thoughtful decsison maker, so I'd need a list, too. But usually I take so long in my decisons, other people (the hubby) have to make them for me. LOL!!

I do the whole "What will happen in five years if I do this or not?" approach. That helps me put things into perspective when all the details are crowding around me.

I do all I can to get all info, then I go very quiet inside and listen to my intuition. Every time I've been WRONG, it was because I skipped this very important part of the process.

I do eenie meenie miney mo.

Totally serious. One hand is the first option, the other hand is the other option. I do "eenie meenie miney mo, catch the tiger by the toe, if he hollers let him go, out goes y-o-u and you shall be the one I pick."

My gut tells me if I'm happy with that choice or if I'm disappointed. If I'm happy, I stick with it, and obviously, if I'm disappointed, I go with the other option.

I think what happens is the simplicity of it cuts through all the chaff floating around in my brain and focuses on the important factor, which my intuition--as J says--already knows.

Good luck!

List maker, for sure... but ultimately intuition plays a part.

That's not really an answer, is it?

Good luck!

I would totally never ever in my life make a decision in my life ever if I thought about it. I tend to go with gut instinct and pray I'm right.

As a kid, when we went out to eat I was the first to get a menu because I could never decide. As a single parent I"m forced to make decisions all the time and I HATE HATE HATE making decisions now htough I do tend to slow down and think hard when it comes to punishing boychildren *ggg*

I do the coin toss.

Assign an option to head/tails.

Flip.

Doesn't matter which "wins".

Go with the one you were hoping it would land on.

Still haven't made the list. Clearly I'm more of an instinctive person like Marianne, JoAnn and Amie.

Bonnie, I'm trying that option, but my brain hurts trying to figure it out!

The eeny-meenie and coin toss methods made my tummy hurt ;) But I like Natalie's reaction to her choice.

I haven't decided yet, BTW.
