Survived, and Supernatural (SPOILERS)

No internet yesterday, staggered home from carnival to couch. My feet throbbed all night. I don't know how well we did, but we had 6 cans of nacho cheese and bags and bags of chips and bowls left. I was hoping we'd run out early and could go home. Business died around 4 PM.

Inservice today, at least. Will stop at Starbucks, stumble into the library, sit in the back and hope to get some writing done. I'm scary behind in Nano.

I was reading my blog from last November, and my life was crazy then, too. The only thing different, besides no carnival (but we had the PTA program) was that I didn't have to keep shifting gears to edit other books. After this weekend, I should be clear. I'm thinking I'll probably skip SARA since the boy has Battle of the Bands the same night and the dh's band is practicing that night.

SUPERNATURAL SPOILERS SUPERNATURAL SPOILERS
Since I was too tired to talk, much less write, I watched my shows. Supernatural was off to me - really really off. It started scary enough - LOVED the ghost ship and the ghost. But like the episode with Jo last year, they focused more on shoehorning the new character in than on the Very Cool ghost story. Dude, I wanted to know more about the hand - WHY is it a powerful occult symbol? What could it do? But Dean's timing was off, and Sam had ONE expression. Hated that. Hated that they got outsmarted again. Hated that Bella only sees the errors of her ways when she's in danger (remember the rabbit's foot?) And the ritual at the end? Where did that come from? Then the ghostly line - ARGH!

Would love to hear thoughts.

END OF SUPERNATURAL SPOILERS

Okay, got to get to work.

I'm scary behind in NaNo, too... I was tickled, though, because my Samhain editor worked it out so my edits didn't hit in November. She is THE BEST.

Good luck with your writing. You can do anything you set your mind to... really! Hang in.

This wasn't one of my favorite episodes either, and I too thought the ghost ship epi would be cooler. But I am really curious about who Bella killed in her family.

I have to say, I LOVED the episode.

I could do with Dean being a LITTLE less outdone by her so often. But unlike with Jo, there is definite chemistry in the acting. Bella intrigues me. And I wouldn't even mind, eventually (like not this season), a sexual relationship between them.

Jensen was stellar, as always (the number of emotions that crossed his face in three seconds when he first came down in the tux was awesome). I love that Sam is suddenly getting all the female attention. And I got choked up at the very end, with what Sam said to Dean, and what Dean didn't say in return.

AWESOME about your editor holding off your edits till Nano is over. I guess I could have asked, but I've already waited so long.....

I didn't mind Bella as a character, she and Jensen DO have chemistry and I think the actress is STUNNING, but I felt the overall story suffered from her being in it. Does that make sense? I felt a lot of stuff was left out because her stuff had to be put in. I didn't really see the purpose of the old lady and Sam, and thought Jared's grimaces were annoying. Also, when Jensen came down the stairs in the tux....too long of a reaction time. And even the dh said, when Dean stuck his gum on the punch bowl, "He's not that much of a buffoon." They really made him look idiotic. I didn't hate it as much when I watched the second time, but the same things struck me as off.
