I love Christmas songs. One of my favorite Christmas albums is this one:

Another is this one. For years, it was the only Christmas album we listened to.

This is one of my favorite songs. I LOVE the harmony, and I actually remember seeing it on TV when it first aired.

When I was music teacher, I always had my kids do "Do You Hear What I Hear?" I love how that song builds.

When I was in choir, I loved "Carol of the Bells" and the Hallelujah Chorus. For years I remembered my parts.

I love "O, Holy Night," too.

My students loved "Nuttin' for Christmas."

I adore Madonna's "Santa Baby."

What Christmas songs do you love? Which ones drive you screaming crazy? ("Christmas Shoes," anyone???)

I can't listen to "Christmas Shoes". I cry like a baby every time.

My favorite is "O, Holy Night"

"Felice Navidad" drives me a little nutty. That song is played everywhere!

Carol of the Bells by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is my favorite! I love the way they play "O Holy Night", too.

"Christmas Shoes" was played alot when it first came out - and it got a bit annoying. Last night, though, I watched the movie with Rob Lowe and I cried as the song played and the little boy ran to his mother's side with the red shoes. Sometimes, I think, it depends on your mood as to what annoys you.

"Feliz Navidad", to me, is the theme song of Christmas and it's the first song I hear right after Thanksgiving. [I keep myself from listening to 101.9 radio which starts playing Christmas carols even BEFORE Thanksgiving - now that's annoying!]

Sorry, Mary, but 'Santa, Baby' by Madonna is... how shall I put it? Annoying, irritating, wish it had
never be released...whew! LOL

I will not under any circumstance listen to Christmas Shoes this year. I'm just trying to get through the holiday in one piece.

Now, if only I'd known exactly what One More Day was about last night, I could have saved myself some tears. Gads, get me through Christmas!

I'm just the opposite, Mary. Bruce Springsteen's Santa Clause Is Coming to Town is fun, but I'd rather go to a bad dentist than listen to the overly sentimental standards that get played all the time. I need to start taking earplugs to the stores with me. And there's so much good Christmas music they could be playing instead!

Like Bonnie, my favorite is Silver Bells. I tend to like the more traditional Christmas songs rather than more modern ones.

I HATE Christmas Shoes. I don't like crying to the radio. :p

Love Sting's "Gabriel's Message." Hands down, my favorite!

Well, after anything and everything by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I went to their concert 7 times before I couldn't justify buying tickets last year or this. The one based on "Carol of the Bells" is called Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24.

My tear-jerker is "Pretty Paper" by Roy Orbison.

Bonnie, I do like the harmonies in that one ;)

Jennifer, imagine being in South Texas....at least everyone knows the words to Feliz Navidad - they just don't know when to stop!!!

I don't think I could have watched that movie, Lupe. I LOVE Madonna's playfulness in the Santa Baby song. I did get to do it with one group of 5th graders one year.

JoAnn, I could have TOLD you not to watch that movie! ARGH! I couldn't even watch the commercials! (I do wish I'd come up with the story, though. I always wished I had one more day with my gma.) You will survive.

Yep, Stacy, the opposite, though I do like Bruce's song (on that Very Special Christmas album, BTW.) I don't care for the Elvis songs or anything like that.

Gabriel's Message - I think that's on the Very Special Christmas album, too....I think I remember hearing it. How's that baby???

Trans Siberian was just here. I've never had the desire to see them. Apparently I'm missing out!

Oh, yeah, you are missing out!

You have to like the music, of course, but they really put on a great show!

Every year I would be at the arena before the concert and think, "maybe this will be the last year." And then the music starts, and it fills me up, and I can't believe I considered not going again.

But, you know, 7 times is a lot. Most people would enjoy once or twice. :)

I have a mega-crush on the bass player, too.
