The Week of Uncertainty
see more puppies
They're thinking my MIL has lung cancer, pretty advanced. We'll know more Monday, and we're still processing. There's a lot to be taken care of in either case. So far her spirits are pretty good, but that will change. She's already said she won't do chemo, and it might be pointless. So we're looking at care for her, whether here or hospice or what....I don't even know what questions to ask.
So my goals this week are different. What I GOTTA do, what I SHOULD do and what I WANNA do.
GOTTA
1) hospital every night (and avoid eating out) Be strong for the dh and ds.
2) clean the house. It's BAD and Trish will be here in a week.
3) color my hair. My roots are awful.
4) Write the play for school
5) go to library
6) go to grocery store
7) go by MIL's house and gather mail, etc.
8) make sure the dh contacts the rest of the MIL's family.
SHOULD
1) go to senior night at the boy's school
2) get ready for critique
3) work on Vamp Hunters
4) get a thank you gift for the B&N CRM
WANNA
1) enter Vamp Hunters in the Emily
2) get my eyebrows done

Oh Mary, I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. My mom had lung cancer. Feel free to write me . . .
Ditto what Gina said... my dad was diagnosed with highly advanced cancer and opted out of chemo. If you need someone to talk to, you know where I am.
In the meantime (((hugs)))
(((((Mary)))))
So sorry to read about your MIL's probable diagnosis. This is such a hard time in life. I went through it about 4 years ago with my MIL and FIL, and my 83-y-o mother is so fragile. Wish I had some tips for you, but it's just going to be hard. Big hugs.
Hugs to you and your family, Mary. Y'all are in my prayers
I'm so sorry about your mother in-law. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Mar, I'm so sorry about your mil. She was always so sweet to me whenever I met her. I have been where you and Fred are now...feel free to email me or call me with anything you want to ask or talk about.
JoAnn
Big hugs, sweetie. It's so sad that so many of us have been through this, but you have lots of people to turn to who've been down this hard road.
At the risk of sounding redundant, I did, too. You're all in my prayers!
Thanks so much, everyone. Your good thoughts and willingness to share made a huge difference. If we'd had more time, I definitely would have taken you up on it.
