I woke up in the middle of a dream about Javier :(

So I don't know how long this book is going to be. I know it needs to be 85,000 words for most places, but in case it isn't....where can it go? The vamps are bad guys, my hero is a hunter, so that leaves Nocturne out. Kensington? Dorchester? Who takes short paranormals? Last night, when I was reading through it between PHONE CALLS - so no NCIS or Mentalist for me - I found a place where I can start expanding, but don't know if it will be enough.

LASR has reviewed several of their books, and they are well-written, well-edited and well promoted, and marketed in places like Target, as well as bookstores.

Just a thought! I'd never heard of them until LASR, so am spreading the word.

For actual word count, some houses like Bantam will take as low as 70k, though I can't swear that's true with mass market romance--it might only apply to books that work for trade format.

I'm thinking I'll be lucky to make 75,000 words. But I haven't reread the whole thing. I may find more places to expand. I took out the brother aspect so it wasn't so much like SPN, and I lost some words there :( Some good words, too.
