I wish! But I did take off part of tomorrow. These last three weeks have been too stressful (we won't talk about the NEW paperwork they're now requiring us to do at school.)
Dinner last night was nice and thank goodness my cp drove because I hate driving downtown. I didn't drink because I didn't want to mess up my sleep (sleep=sacred) but I still didn't sleep well.
And I'm starting to get twitchy. I have several submissions out and I want to hear back so I can move forward (okay, what I'll do differently, I don't know. I just want to hear.)
Don't Look Back is at Silhouette Romantic Suspense. 13 months now, 2 since she said she was reading it. I'm scared to email her because when I pushed on Hot Shot I got an email rejection. But I can't send in Breaking Daylight until I hear from that one.
STTA is with Dorchester since June.
Surface is with Sourcebooks since September (I know...so long! Just feels like it, I guess)
My short story has been with TWRP since the beginning of October. It was recommended to the senior editor that she buy it. Again, soooo long ;)
And 2 contests I entered are announcing their results in a few weeks.
Are you patient when it comes to submissions?
Woot, Supernatural tonight!

Oh Mary, good luck with all your submissions.
Sometimes I get twitchy. Sometimes I just wait, wait, wait. I have what must be a totally forgotten partial at Dorchester. It's been there since . . . summer of 2005? I think it must be propping up a desk somewhere. In this case, I don't care if I never hear back because I need to overhaul the entire manuscript. Of course, I didn't know that when I submitted it.
I actually keep forgetting that I've submitted stuff. Probably because i'm used to revising and only recently finished two manuscripts to send out. BUt its only been a couple of months so I probably won't get too antsy for another month or so...
Yay on time off! I hope it helps.
Wow, that's a lot of stuff to be waiting on.
I have a Brief at Spice that's been since May. A full at GCP that they've been silent on for 13 months now. Same book on hold at Dorchester because the other editor bought one that's too similar. And my editor at Echelon has one she was considering for an e-book that's been almost a year. I think she's forgotten about it. Either that, or she's been e-mailing me and I haven't gotten it. :)
I want more out there!
HUGS and good luck! Fingers crossed!
Thanks, Gina! I think it's just feeling stagnated, and then I get twitchy. Wow, that's a long time. I think Kris has one of those, too.
Kelly, I've got my fingers crossed for you!
Natalie, good luck with Spice, and with GCP. I would love to sell to GCP. So, you write pretty quickly. Is it revising slowing you down? That's what slows me down.
Thanks, Mary Beth!
I'm not very patient. Best of luck with your submissions, Mary!
Thanks, Mary!
Revising definitely slows me down. It overwhelms me and makes me avoid it. :)
Hey, Olga! You'd think this business would teach us about patience, huh?
Natalie, I'm with you on revisions, which is why I have so many projects needing them. I'd much rather write new stuff!
