I have a weird sense of urgency to write today. I've fallen behind since I haven't been home much the past 3 days. I'm 3500 words behind my goal on the short story, 1000 words behind on the paranormal and 25 pages behind on the revisions. So....once the dh goes to work, I'm pounding out words until the battery dies. Then I might clean the bathrooms. Maybe.
I'm thinking about doing a book in a month challenge for July. I know some will be at National, but does anyone want to join me?

Good luck with the BIAM! I'm busy with revisions so I can't do it but I'll be cheering you on!
I might join you! I've had exactly one writing day since my retreat, and I really need to get some discipline and a routine.
The routine is key, Natalie. At least that's what I've found. I'm curious how long it takes you to write a book.
I agree, the routine is absolutely necessary. Years ago I wrote an article about the effect of inertia on a writing schedule. :)
How long it takes me to write a book is ALL over the place. The one I'm writing now I started a year ago. Obviously, I stopped many times to work on other stuff. :) I've written 89k+ during NaNo. I'm going to say my average is 6 months, including revisions. But I really have no idea at this point.
