Goals--You Know I Like Them

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone had a safe celebration and has a wonderful, healthy, happy 2010.

I'm actually going to set fewer goals this year, and one is a goal to take a month off from writing. I thought it might be January. We'll see. I'm expecting edits any day now, and I have 40 pages to revise on the bodyguard book.

But you see goal blogs everywhere this time of year and I'd much rather talk about my contest.

I'm very excited about the contest I'm holding to kick off the release of my new book Tuesday, BREAKING DAYLIGHT. The contest will run from January 1 to January 5 (RELEASE DAY!!!!) I'll pick the winners every evening at 8 PM CST, and the grand prize winner at 8 PM CST on Tuesday.

Here's the deal. I have a fan page at Facebook now, and every day I'll draw from people who join my fan page. That person will get a pair of earrings from Distinctively DD, Marianne's daughter's shop and a lotion/bath thing from Bath and Body Works.

Every day I will also have something interactive, a poll or something, and from the commenters, over the five days, I will draw the grand prize, a necklace made by my aunt, who makes her own glass beads. (Am I in a blue mood or what?)

I need your help promoting the contest. I really really REALLY want to make the top ten list at My Bookstore and More. This week all the new releases made it. So if you're on Facebook, spread the word about my fan page, tweet, blog, and most of all, come over and comment so you can win!

A blast from the past friended me on Facebook. I was shocked. It's bad--I don't keep up with people from high school, and I see tons of them on Facebook who HAVE kept up with each other. What about you? Do you keep up with your old pals?

I promo'd your contest, too -- and it'll show up on my FB page, so here's hoping you hit the top ten. I did with "Kitchen Matches" and was blown away (cuz it's usually only the erotic stuff that makes it there).
