If...
If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains.
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles.
If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it.
If you can understand when loved ones are too busy to give you time.
If you can overlook when people take things out on you when, through no fault of yours, something goes wrong.
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment.
If you can face the world without lies and deceit.
If you can conquer tension without medical help.
If you can relax without liquor.
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs.
If you can do all these things.
Then you are probably the family dog.
I have Open House tonight, and I've been up since 3:30. Sigh.

Woof
Dashing, indeed. :)
I was saved from having to go to 10th grade nite, Mar, since our principal decided to keep the focus on administration. But report card nite will be our open house, of a sort...we all sit at tables in the gym and the parents go from table to table to meet and talk with the teachers about their kids. That one will be a bit nerve-wracking for me, but I can handle it! My students just had a test that ALL of them did well on...so their grades pulled up a bit. That makes me a happy camper, as I send out progress reports on Friday afternoon. Ain't it grand?

I survived - we're lucky, we combined math night and open house. Other schools had them separately. My last parent came at 6:05, and we had to stay till seven. My VP came in and sat and talked for awhile, and I got my lesson plans done. Now I'm watching Bones and am less than impressed :(
Lol about the dog, and hugs on the Open House!
Thanks, Olga. The open house wasn't too bad. I thought I'd get more work done, though. I still have tons of paper to grade. I was supposed to get a college student to help me out, but alas, not till Monday.
Liked the bit about the dog. LOL!
