LOL! I know exactly what you mean, Mary. My older son majored in Communications and English, wrote scripts for his college's TV show and has also written some stories and poems.
He's my best editor! He also gets out the red pen and marks all over my stories! At first he was concerned he'd hurt my feelings, but I told him "go for it"! I need your "critical" eye. :)

Mary Beth, he hasn't said anything about going to Austin, so I guess not! Seems odd they'd go all the way to NYC and not to Austin.... It would be awesome if you two could meet, though!!!
Natalie, yes, I have a JDM google alert (I am a sad, sad woman.) The little Js need better agents, I think. JDM has done a lot of independent films that never release, so maybe he's due ;)
