I have a lot of favorite days, my birthday for one, but this is the big one.

The last day of school.

My entire summer is in front of me, no wasted moments or opportunities. No minutes subtracted from my hard earned summer. Anticipation is everything.

I've already done the big summer grocery trip, where I go from buying things for packing lunch to things I can make at home. I've already made my tentative schedule for the days, and the weeks (what I'll be working on). I even already kind of know what my obsession for the summer will be. A hint:

Still, I have a weird feeling about this summer, like it won't be as relaxing as summers past, probably because I know I have a lot of writing to do.

So this AM, I go to school, we sort the permanent records, cover our computers, turn in our keys. We go to a luncheon and I'll come home and nap and tomorrow I'll dive in.
