My Work Space
This is where I have spent most of my summer.
Here's my overworked laser printer.
My chart of plot lines is on the closet near the entrance of the house, since I painted the wall behind the computer and the hallway wall. It's just a few steps from the computer.
At least I'm never alone. This chair serves as my breakfast/lunch table as well as YaYa's napping table.
And this is where Napoleon usually is. I don't mind when he's like this.
But sometimes he's like this and chews on my hair clip.
What does your work space look like?

Cute kitties. I have a picture of moi in my office at http://www.trishmilburn.com/fiction.htm
Trish, yours is MUCH neater. I like the bookshelves. My computer desk is in the living room. I tried having it in another room, but I couldn't stand being away from everything.
I just rearranged/cleaned the writing room yesterday while we having a thunderstorm and I couldn't write. There are photos in my blog archive. In Jan 05, it is a wreck as I took photos after finishing a book.
Your workspace looks much neater than mine. At least you can see yours. Mine is covered with paper, Post Its, coffee cups and Pepsi bottles.
Everywhere else is neat except for the place I write. In fact, I think I need to go. You've shamed me into cleaning.
Tanya
Peggy, I imagine, coming from a big family, that alone time is a premium! No wonder you want your own space!
Stacy, I have a window, too, but the only view is the neighbor's house. I'd set up another spot looking over the backyard, but that doesn't have as comfortable of a chair ;)
Tanya, you think mine is NEAT?? There are cords EVERYWHERE, CDs from my son and husband (and, yes, me Friday night) putting stuff on iTunes. I have notes from my cp, notes from the PASIC, the school calendar (WHY? To depress myself? We hardly have any holidays this year!) and a cool card Colleen sent me (say that three times really fast.) Great. Now I have to go clean, too.
Dixie, nice workspace! All those surfaces would quickly be covered with paper here, though. And I don't want to put my bulletin board back up since I painted my wall.
I don't have a pic of mine...but it's in our middle bedroom which we turned into an office. We have a large legal-office style L-shaped table...one side is for paperwork, the other for the computer, where I sit and create. I have a much older computer than Mar's...I LOVE your monitor! But it serves. On top of my computer I have my little dragon, an eagle, a holey stone, and my offering bowl (where I put the floppy backup disc each nite, sort of offering my work to the Divine! Sounds weird, huh? :). On the shelf above me I have two angels given to me by friends, a candle, and my little witchy figure on her broom, reminding me to fly when I write! It's cozy, and when I sit there, I can let go and just be. Which is what I have to do, in order to do anything.
JoAnn
I wasn't meant to have this computer, but it came with the cool chair ;) I get chased off it quite often.
I'd like an L shaped desk. I saw one I really liked at Pottery Barn (yeah, for a fee!) The desk I use was made by my grandfather, before home computers were even thought of. It's not big, but I love it.
The one totem I don't have on my desk that I should is Ginger from Chicken Run. She was so blasted persistent! I do have my penguin (for inspiration on my Antarctica story), the polar bear Hattie gave me, the egg JoAnn gave me, and the angel that says courage that Betty H gave me when my grandmother was dying.
Love the pictures. I've thought of posting some of my workspace before. Maybe I will one day. But my space is very cluttered at the moment. I have stuff everywhere!
LOL, Teresa! I think mine is too cluttered right now. I did straighten it up a bit today.
So I stole you're idea . . . I posted a shot of my space. Bad me for post stealing I know. And honestly it looks cleaner than it is in that shot.*g*
Mine is a desk in the corner of my bedroom and right now it's covered in paper. Thank god I have the laptop cuz I usually end up crawling in bed *ggg*
Meg Cabot writes on her laptop in bed. I can't write on our laptop (mainly because it's permanently attached to my dh's lap) but I don't like the keyboard and the touch pad.
