What Are You Reading?
You may notice my covers on what I'm reading have been changing kinda quickly. I'm not reading that much, but having trouble getting into anything. The Other Daughter is pretty good, but might be too intense for me. I may have to set it aside.
Paperbackswap.com is not helping. The past few books I read and didn't get into were promptly put on the website and promptly picked up by other readers who I hope enjoy them more.
So what are you reading?

Karen Marie Monning, who is my MAJOR autobuy has a new book out: Spell of the Highlander
I just bought Karne Kendall's "Who's on Top" from Harlequin Blaze. I need to just subscribe to that series - I buy almost every book : )
And I have two books on my September reading list, Stephanie Rowe's "If the Shoe Fits" and my Gena Showalter's Heart of the Dragon!
Trying to read "Double PLay" by Penelopi Neri, and Elusive, by Kay Hopper.
This is weird...I just posted about this on my blog, Mar! Right now, I'm reading Taking Up The Runes by Diana Paxson, Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison, The Chocolate Bear Burlary by Joanna Carl, and YaYas in Bloom by Rebecca Wells.
My TBR stack is huge. But more on that later.
JoAnn
My TBR pile has decreased a little recently but is still 40 books high. And then a friend sent me 10 Harlequin Presents to take a gander at!!! So last night I was reading something like the 'greek tycoon' by Julia James and I'm shocked to say it was really very good. Not sure if I'll be able to get that tone though :/
The Other Daughter is good!! I love Lisa's books, but wish she'd do more romance--why do authors move over to more mystery/suspense when they get really big? Tami Hoag did and I don't read her books now--and she was my favourite...sob....
Mary I went to the book store on Saturday. Go ahead, roll your eyes. I am. Just finished Kay Hoopers Chill of Fear (and the one before it out in PB right now). They totally rocked! I love LG but you're right she can be intense. She's an autobuy for me, so maybe I'll pick up Alone (it's in my TBR pile and has been since it came out *blush*). I'm hoping ALone isn't as detailed as her last book (good read but lots of CSI type stuff). Then again maybe I'll read SEP next. I picked up four teen fantasy books this weekend, the new SEP, KH and I can't even remember what else.
Hey Jill did you read her last book--about Adam? I saw mixed reviews and I love her other stuff, but I never picked it up. Opinion?
Karen Marie Moning's book's out? OMG! Looks like a trip to the bookstore is in order.
I'm reading Blaze by JoAnn Ross. It's been great, so far.
I just finished Night Pleasures and the Born to be B.A.D. collection both by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I'm now hooked on her.
I just started one called Crimson City by Liz Maverick and it's the first in a series (but the next ones will be by different authors)set in L.A. of the future where humans live with vampires and werewolves.
Match Me if You Can - by SEP
Just finished the Undomestic goddess by Sophie Kinsella. Excellent book. Also finished Bundle of Joy by Ariella Papa for RDI.
Sappho's Leap, an incredible book from Erica Jong. Such rich, poetic language that it's truly inspiring my own writing!
I loooooved Tami Hoag, too, esp her Louisiana books.
40 books, Toni? It is to laugh! I weed mine out every now and again but it's still over 100.
I've actually never read most of these authors you're talking about.
Oh, and I got ANOTHER R and Miss Snark wouldn't critique my page because it was about terrorism.
I'm currently reading The Hunter by Gennita Low.
Terrorism? Lord Mary, you're not actually trying something cutting edge and relevant are you :) LOL.
Yeah, only about 50 books TBR--doesn't include non romance as I rarely actually get there, although Robert Crais is calling my name :).
Doesn't Miss Snark know that in books and movies terrorists always lose and the good guys and gals always save the day? What's wrong with that?
