My Favorite Things
I finally watched the Painted Veil. Very beautiful movie, great costumes. I love Edward Norton, who got more handsome as the romance progressed. But this was not a keeper for me.
The boy went to hang out with some friends at a shopping strip. The dh gave him $30. Guess what he spent money on? BOOKS! He IS my son! He got War of the Worlds and Season in Hell. He’s reading Atlantis, has Barack Obama’s book on the way, has a TBR pile with Dresden and East of Eden in it. I’m so proud.
Today we’re heading to breakfast with my MIL, then the skatepark with the nephew. I’m loading up my Supernatural messenger bag with the first 50 pages of Ghost Hunters, my AlphaSmart and HEAVENS TO BETSY.
I am all about products that work, and if they smell good doing it, more power to them!
Here are a few of my favorite products:
Loreal Nail Polish – takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Garnier Sleek and Shine shampoo and conditioner – smells SO good and tames my poofy hair.
Oil of Olay with ribbons – I resisted at first, because it’s kinda pricy, but it’s so worth it!
Okay, this doesn’t smell good, but it makes my life easier – touching up roots takes half the time as coloring my hair.
Cheer Dark really works – the ds has mostly black t-shirts, and this keeps them alive longer than the logos ironed on them.
Now, my indulgence. I love Cherry Blossom scents at Bath and Body – it smells like taking a bath at my California grandmother’s house!
What are your tried and true products?

honey, i haven't even seen cheer dark!
i am so a sucker for b&bw products, too. another product that i love is mrs meyer's geranium dishsoap.
Cheer Dark saved J's wardrobe!
Have you tried B&BW's new scents? Sea Cotton and another cucumber one.
Geranium dish soap, eh? Must check it out!
I love Physique shampoo. I've never used a shampoo that makes my hair feel cleaner. From Bath & Body Works, I like the Warm Vanilla Sugar-scented lotion.
This isn't from the smells-good category, but Abreva, which is used on cold sores, is SO worth every one of the 15 or so dollars for the teeny tube. It lasts forever, and helps cut the time I have to deal with cold sores drastically.
I love the Clairol root touch up!
And I have a big love on for RedKen All Soft shampoo and conditioner, Dove intense body moisturizer and the Body Shop Satsuma and Cranberry bath gels.
Basis gel facial cleanser!
Origins chocolate body cream with shea butter, OPI nail polish, Paul Mitchell glaze and RUSK Hair Polish and my flat iron!
So, the Physique, is it one of those shampoos that strips all the product from your hair? Is your hair manageable?
And hey, anything that gets rid of cold sores....
Kelly, we only have one Body Shop in town, clear across the city. I've only been once. I must check it out!
Amie, you have a lot of "girly" stuff there! I got into OPI last summer - I loved the names! I can't imagine chocolate body cream!
