Gone Visitin'
Blogging at Trish's today!
Did you ever hear the story about the little kid who was SO excited about the first day of school, it was all he could talk about for weeks? And then after the first day of school was over, his mom told him he had to go to bed early because he had to go to school in the morning and he said, "You mean I have to go BACK?"
Yeah. How can I be this tired already? I went to bed at 9:30 last night, people! ACK!

Was that kid's name Kelly per chance...?
Mary--I'm sure you'll hit your stride sooooonnnn!!!!
I hope :)
Good luck............... :) MY daughter is terribly excited about school, but she'll probably be the same way -- do I have to go back???
LOL, Kelly!
I stayed late today and got out my old fashioned lesson plan books. The other teachers are photocopying these lengthy lesson plans from the timeline binders (some nice soul included all the objectives and everything) but these don't do me any good. I need to look at my day in one glance. So I put my subjects and my page numbers and what I'll be doing when, and I feel much better. Took me all day to find my mojo, though.
Good luck with being back in school, Mary. Teachers have my utmost admiration.
Thanks, Janice! Honestly, these kids and this administration makes it a joy to go to work.
But man, I went to bed at nine last night and woke up at 3. This stinks!
Too funny!!
I'm still in the professional development week. Our kids don't start until after Labor Day.
How long is your professional developement, Michelle? Two weeks? I think that's what Texas would do if we started going back after Labor Day. As it is, we have one inservice a month, just about. If they bunched them all at the beginning, the kids could start later, but the teachers would go back at the same time.
Mary, lol on the kid's story! I used to go to bed at 10 p.m. for some time because I had to get up at 4:30 a.m.
So, Olga, this 10 PM, this is early for you? If I'm not in bed by 10 on a school night....well, you don't want to be in my class the next day ;)
I barely stayed up till midnight in the summer!
