I want to READ
see more dog and puppy pictures
I met my writing goal last night at almost 11 PM. My eyes were crossing. Yet I had two books calling to me. I'm reading Silent Night on my iPhone and Ice by Stephanie Rowe in paperback. Both are awesome suspenses, and I'm juggling which to read when.
Then I have Meg Benjamin's first book to read (and her third just came out! I'm so far behind.)
And Elisabeth's new book is coming out next week and I've not read her second.
And then there's Hard to Hold by Stephanie Tyler, which I'm dying to read. I just...need...more...time!
What are you reading? What are you itching to read? Mostly, I'm in the mood to read something I've not written!
Don't forget about the Kindle 2 you can win with the Samhellion contest!

H, MJ. I was just having the same overwhelmed feeling about books I want to read and now your list made it worse because I want to read them too!
Right now I'm reading three books that I want to share with my students - one that I'm giving them each a copy of for Christmas - Fourth Grade Fuss (about kids dealing with all the TESTS), Because of Winn Dixie (because we LOVED Tale of Despereaux) and Inkheart (because I've been meaning to forever and one of my students LOVES it - what's not to love about a book about book characters coming alive?)
Then there are two Teaching books I'm dying to read because I love the way the authors think - To Understand : New Horizons in Reading Comprehension by Ellin Oliver Keene, and Teaching with Intention : Defining Beliefs, Aligning Practice, Taking Action, K-5 by Debbie Miller.
Then there's Nora's High Noon that I'm half way through, Diane Chamberlain's The Bay at Midnight that just arrived (I'd been trying to buy it forever), a whole stack of Christmas stories still to finish, the rest of the books in teh Virgin River series, Lori WIlde's The Sweethearts' Knitting Club (a reunion story) and a whole pile of others. *sigh* I love having all the books, now if the dog would just cooperate and let me read rather than play fetch.
You know, last year I read a TON of books to my class. This year I have a better schedule for it, and I still don't have time. Must order Fourth Grade Fuss!
I have 2 more Virgin River books to read, and she has a new series coming out starting next week! I prolly shouldn't have told you that, right?
Is it a new series? I thought they were three new books in the Virgin River series.
Read Aloud is my favorite part of the day. I think it pays off because parents are always telling me their kids really love to read after being in my class. I'll admit to really hamming it up. ;) Right now we're doing a class read of Tale of Despereaux and it's a HUGE hit as always.
Oh, you're right! Three more Virgin River books. I still haven't loved any as much as I loved the first.
I think I read 11 novels to the kids last year, and countless picture books. Not sure if it's these kids who have a short attention span or if I do.
Whew! That was hot and way tension filled! I LOVE IT!
Jenni James
I just added some books to my wish list. LOL I have a bunch on my TBR pile I can't wait to get to, and intended to spend all day reading today, but instead I've spent it all on the laptop. *shrug* I'll still get some in, but not nearly enough!
Thanks, Giddymom!
Natalie, I've been doing pretty good. I finished Silent Night and am pretty deep into ICE and Venus in Blue Jeans. Of course, I just bought the second book in Stephanie Tyler's series. I'm hoping Stephanie Rowe's second will be on Kindle or some such, as will Elisabeth's third one.
