The weather forecasts are predicting a 70% chance of snow tomorrow. Snow. In San Antonio. In December. It's not even winter yet and my cozy pjs are already in regular rotation.
Now I know you Yankees are laughing, but seriously, the city will shut down if it snows. It never snows here. We had 2 ice days 3 years ago, but in my whole career I only remember being off for bad weather 5 times.
In 20 years. The last time it snowed I was in college.
So, just in case I'm home on Friday, I've made a snow day checklist.
fuzzy socks
soft sweatshirt
cozy pj pants
hot cocoa AND hot tea
makings for grilled cheese
cookie dough
new JDM DVD (Live! Not really uplifting, but hey, JDM)
more books than I can possibly read
kittehs
But alas, not enough Diet Coke. Must remedy that!
Anything I've forgotten? Am I jinxing it?

So did you get snow?
We haven't had a single flake yet. We've usually had at least flurries by now. Predicted for tomorrow, though.
Flurries, only. The kids said we jinxed it. But they were very happy--they'd never seen flurries, even. I've only seen them twice in my life. I took pictures of the kids with flakes in their hair and on their jackets. It melted right away, though.
Wow! I can't even fathom that. I'm happy the kids got to see them even if they didn't do more than that.
We've got a couple of inches of heavy, wet snow, my favorite kind, but the streets are only wet. Perfect!
