Okay, before we get started here, I'm very excited about the contest I'm holding to kick off the release of my new book next Tuesday, BREAKING DAYLIGHT. The contest will run from January 1 to January 5. I'll pick the winners every evening at 8 PM CST, and the grand prize winner at 8 PM CST on Tuesday.

Here's the deal. I have a fan page at Facebook now, and every day I'll draw from people who join my fan page. That person will get a pair of earrings from Distinctively DD, Marianne's daughter's shop (and I'll post pictures as soon as they arrive) and a lotion/bath thing from Bath and Body Works.

Every day I will also have something interactive, a poll or something, and from the commenters, over the five days, I will draw the grand prize, a necklace made by my aunt, who makes her own glass beads.

I need your help promoting the contest. I really really REALLY want to make the top ten list at My Bookstore and More. This week all the new releases made it. So if you're on Facebook, spread the word about my fan page, tweet, blog, and most of all, come over and comment so you can win!

Book Buying Frenzy

So I'm now addicted to Fictionwise. The cool is that they offer rebates for most books you buy. The other cool is that they send you coupons. So I've bought...5 books, I think, and gotten 4 free, and I still have over $8 in credit. I love reading on my iPhone. It's back-lit and I can make the font huge. So even though I want the new Michelle Rowen books and Covet by JR Ward, I want them in e-book so I can read them on my phone. I have a 30% off coupon at Border, though....so I may indulge.

I got my final line edits on BD this AM, and still have 80 pages to go on the edits on DLB. So tomorrow, I'm taking the day, opening the windows to the cool front, and working on writing. I want to WRITE, though, hopefully, too. The ideas are piling up.

2) Grade papers so I can send home progress reports.
3) First round of BD edits. Let’s see if I can get this one done in 3 rounds. Hot Shot was 5, Surface was 4.

8) Keep up house
9) Start exercising

YEAH, Baby

I snoozed in a bit, until a little after 7. Might have slept later but dh kept snoozing his alarm. I woke up, made breakfast, turned on my computer....and saw an email from my Samhain editor.

She offered me a contract on Breaking Daylight!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTT!!! Of course, there are revisions, but I got offered the contract FIRST, which is new ;) SOOOOOO excited. I'm dancing and freaking out the cats.
