The Worst Things About Being a Writer
Rejections....revisions....writer's block.....
All terrible.
Professional jealousy, frustration when you know you've done the best you can do....
Horrible.
Being sure you got a soda but having no idea where you put it, getting home and not remembering how because your head is in the story, now that is scary.
Trish and I went to breakfast at Guenther House where we stuffed ourselves with huge biscuits, did the mission trail, were STARVING, so went to HEB for snacks. We came home, pigged out, vegged, then went out for barbecue with my brother and his wife. Talked a LOT. Came home and watched The Alamo, and now I've got to go to work :(

I think the worst thing ever would be getting your book almost sold...and then being rejected at the last rung of the ladder. I pray that doesn't happen to me. Man, oh, man.
Fingers crossed on the submissions you have out!
Sounds like you and Trish are having a great time, Mary :)
You do sound like you're having a great time!! Yeah!!!
Worst thing about being a writer? Hmmm. Not contributing to the family finances and hoping that one day you will--but never actually knowing for sure.
Michelle, it's hard to get close and then have the sale not come through. It's like a big punch in the stomach.
Mary and I are having a great time. She's the hostess with the mostest. :)
Michelle, I agree. Or losing your book's champion after hoping - that's happened to Trish, Janice and me.
Toni, I imagine that can be nerve-wracking, but you have little kids, too, right? So staying home is dual purpose?
Yes a dual purpose!! I do love to be home with them too!
