My brother (Healing Brother) came over for dinner last night and we started talking about funny movies, movies you can watch over and over and still laugh. So we came up with a partial list. See if you agree.
1) Ghostbusters
2) Young Frankenstein
3) Spinal Tap
4) Zoolander (my son's contribution, but I agree)
5) O Brother Where Art Thou
6) Animal House
7) Vacation (we like Christmas Vacation best)
8) Ferris Bueller
9) The Money Pit (just thinking about this, I laugh - the bathtub scene, the tree scene)
10) Abbott and Costello Meet...(my favorite is Frankenstein)
Others we considered were Foul Play, All of Me and Wayne's World. I know I'll be in trouble for not including the Monty Pythons, but I don't get those so much. And there are a number of older films that I left out, too.
Right now I'm watching the 1980s miniseries Winds of War that I got from the library. Remember that? I LOVED it. It held up pretty good, actually.

My number one is Raising Arizona with Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter. Whenever I'm really down, that's what I watch. It's just so completely warped that I remember my life can't be that bad. Have a good day!
Have to agree with O Brother Where Art Thou and Zoolander. Would also add The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Office Space and The Princess Bride.
Well said.
