Hero Wanted

Okay, my Nano story is really outside the box. It started as a dream, so I kind of cast it from that, but Colin Firth just isn't doing it for me as the hero. He's someone in the villain's employ, and while he has to kowtow to the villain, he seethes inside for all the villain has done.

The villain is very specific about people in his employ, won't even let the women wear slacks, so this person would have to have terrific hygiene - no scruffiness.

I was thinking Tim Daly or David Boreanaz, but both are too broody, I think. I also thought Dougray Scott, but no bells there.

Any suggestions?

I was going to say the exact same thing...

Good luck with NaNo, Mary!

Lior Ashkenazi!

I have some pictures of him on my blog. He's an Israeli actor. I'm in total lus-- Um, I mean total awe. :-)

Clive Owen. Did you see Gosford Park?

MJFredrick said...

Hmmm, Clive.....I hadn't thought of him.

Daniel Craig made me think of Eric Bana, who might be good, too.

Tim Daly from Eyes was pretty snarky. That might be what I need instead of intense....

Off to check out Tanya's guy.

Hey, that Lior Ashkenazi guy kinda looks like Clive a bit. I need to see him in action, though ;)

Oh, yes, CLIVE OWEN!! Yes, do him.

(yes, I wrote that on purpose.)

:-D

Well, you know who I'm going to say -- David B. He's not broody in Bones. I'm also a big fan of Eric Bana, so he'd be great too. And I could listen to Clive Owen talk for a week straight.

Mary,

If you rent LATE MARRIAGE you will *definitely* see Lior in ... um ... action. ;-) It's a foreign film with subtitles, but I didn't mind. I could watch him for days. :-D As for Clive Owen ... he's my #1 guy. Always has been. Lior comes second only to him.

Two words:

JENSEN ACKLES

MJFredrick said...

LOL, Colleen!

Did ya like the picture, Trish? David might be too young. Jensen Ackles - WAY too young. He's just a baby! (Y'all, what am I going to do when all the heartthrobs are younger than me? Will I have to retire??)

I'm leaning back toward Tim Daly.

Though now you mention it, a younger guy might shake her up a bit....
