Borrrrrrrrrrinnnnnnngggggg
Today my kids are taking a writing field test. Which means I get to wear jeans. Which also means I cannot do ANYTHING all DAY but watch them test. No lesson plans. No grading. No magazine....nothing! And I cannot step a foot out the door, not even to go to the bathroom, unless a certified, trained teacher is there to relieve me. It may not be too hard today, since only my grade is testing, but with 3rd, 4th and 5th are testing in February - nightmare!
It's going to be a long day...and then tutoring afterwards.
Good thing I have a good imagination.

Wow - sounds tedious!! Can you maybe scribble some notes in a notebook on the sly??? :)
OMG I'd die.
Can you read a book? Man, I hope you can read a book.
THAT Stinks!!!
I hate testing days.
No, no book. I did manage to get my lesson plans for tomorrow written since I have to take the boy to the dr and I'll be out. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but the VP said she'd be by every hour to give me a break if I needed one. I didn't take the first, and she never came back! ACK! I finally got coach to watch the kids when I needed to go potty.
The bad thing was, I also had to eat lunch with the kids, and I kept the 5 who weren't finished in during my planning. So....counting tutoring, I had kids for....8 1/2 hours straight.
I dread dread dread this time of year, because now I'm asked to be a test monitor. Ugh!
I feel for you!
I swear, you teachers are a blessed thing. It's a calling in which I didn't even have the area code for. Hope you took it easy with TV, a book, some chocolate and whatever else tonight.
Jill, you're certified, right? (Not certifiable ;) ) I don't think we thought about asking our former teachers to monitor - dude, that would be awesome!
Cindy, of COURSE I took it easy with TV ;) Really, though, it wasn't as bad as I feared. I did scrub the sink in the room and dusted the computers.
