MARY!! It was wonderful. YOU were wonderful!
No stuttering or stammering; you looked very comfortable on-cam. You were great!
I love it.
I only wish that they'd SAID or put on the screen your writing name. Grr.
YOU were great. The newscaster had a weird voice, and I kept worrying he was trying to imply something, like, "This writer of sexy books is teaching your kids!" But you were so sweet and authentic, if he had any intentions toward that, he was thwarted. He might always have those funny intonations.
You were on TV! You looked great! How cool is that!
Oh, and feel free to take my comment down if you think the newscaster might visit your site. I won't be offended.
Mary, you worried for no reason! You sounded great.
Very, very, very nice. Be proud of this! You were warm and interesting. And I hope it leads to *many* sales. :)
Mary!! You were great! That was a great piece on you. Congratulations on your books and many many more successes!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Colleen, I didn't want them to give my pseudonym. I don't want my kids' parents reading the books and then feeling like Esri said, ya know? On the article on the district website, they had my pseudonym but I asked them to take it down.
Esri, he always sounds like that. No worries. The guy who did the interview was VERY respectful, too.
Thanks, Trish, Gina and Michele!!! I'm so glad I said SOMETHING coherent he could use ;) I'm still stunned they find this so interesting, you know?
I'm late to the party, but I agree with everyone! You did fabulously!
Very nice! You did a great job. You looked very comfortable, like you give interviews every day.
Charity
You did terrific. It was nice they showed you working in your classroom too. You're right, the newscaster always has that smirk in his voice! --Liz
Yay! How fun, Mary! I was extremely impressed with your composure and such succinct description of romance and romance writing! WTG! :)
This was awesome! Mary, you are a pro.
I am so proud of you, Mary!
I agree you sounded as if you did interviews every day.
WTG!!
Lupe
Mary, it was awesome! Congratulations. You looked and sounded great!
Wow, thanks, you guys! I'm pretty pleased, but lemme tell ya, not something I'd want to do every day!!!
Mar, I posted last night, but it didn't show. I cannot believe I was out of town and MISSED THIS! I am so glad there is YouTube. You were wonderful!!!!!!!
J
YAY for YouTube! You were fab, Mary, and you looked great. That color is amazing on you. You also sounded great, and I loved that the reporters seemed genuinely happy for you and weren't condescending weirdos. (Because really, do we NEED another story with the phrase "bodice ripper" in it?) Congratulations!!!
Wow. You're a star. You did great, looked great, looked the world in the eye and announced "I'm a romance writer." How awesome is that?
JoAnn, I saw the comment somewhere!!!
Tracy, thanks!!
Clover, LOL - you make me sound brave for saying I write romance ;) I'm fortunate to not have run into any prejudice yet.
Mary! I was so surprised and excited to see that. Congratulations my friend. I have to tell you how thrilled I am to have you as one of our authors at The Wild Rose Press. I'm so proud of you, what a great interview. Good job!
Rhonda Penders
Rhonda!!! I was going to email it to you, but thought you'd be too busy! I'm so glad you got to see it!
And I'm so happy to be in your garden!!!
LOL, Stacey! I had my moments of blathering - the interviewer was a REALLY good editor ;)
