I Love March

I love March. I love getting out my spring clothes (which I can wear until October, when I’m less enamored of them). I get out my sandals (though I also love my man-shoes for winter). I paint my toenails.

I buy plants, I rearrange the patio a hundred different ways in anticipation of sitting on it (which I rarely do because of the computer and all). Everything I buy is flowery-themed.

Harry Potter and King Kong will be out on DVD.

Spring Break is right around the corner. Summer preview, I like to call it. A week to mess with my sleep schedule, go out to breakfast or lunch every day, go shopping, or stay in my pajamas all day. So many possibilities, this year including a trip to Houston for the Emily luncheon. It is also including a girls' night out with the teachers and lunch with some of the SARAs. And a mammogram and maybe surgery. Wait, why am I looking forward to this again?

Then there's the 24th, the day the GH calls go out. I'm really really trying not to be hopeful, and I don't know if my second chapters are strong enough, but what's done is done, right?

So March is one of my favorite months. I welcome it happily.

I love March too... so close to spring, and filled with promise. Let's hope it's the month we hear good things from agents/editors!

We have 5-10 cm of snow forecast :( I love March but at the moment it is a theoretical sort of love!

There's just something about turning that calendar over to March that makes it "feel" like spring, even if the temperature hasn't figured that out yet.

Good luck on the GH!

March here is still freezing. It also means I only have a few more weeks to do my taxes. March also means the Ides of March, when Julius Caesar was killed, and St.Patrick's day when many people descend on the city to drink green bar and vomit in the streets. April is my month, Tartan Week!

Hey Mary! I did a blog recently on how much I love February. Here in California it's usually a nicer month than March is usually rainy and windy. BUT, I can tell that this March is going to be a great one for both of us. :)

BTW--I just posted a blog with new coding for the Raven button you are using. I tried to send you an email but it bounced. RT updated their website thus rendering all the old links useless. Surprise!

And thanks so much for having that button.

Bonnie, LOL, I thought you were trying out a new dialect ;) I was surprised HP was out so soon. I'm going to show it to my class next Friday, right before Spring Break, because we've been reading the book since Oct. We're only up to p. 485!

Amen, Bosey!

Yikes, you Canadians have it rough! I have the AC on today and the trees are turning green. Of course, I had a hibiscus bloom on Christmas Day, so....

So, Elizabeth, NOT a March fan, huh? :)

Nikki, WHAT movie????? On DVD or theaters or....???? I haven't heard!

Gina, I saw that blog! Kinda inspired this one! My new email is mfechter at gmail dot com if you want to try to send me the code again, or is it on your blog? I'm heading over there in a bit.

Sorry, Janice! I actually am planning to see this with some of the teachers over Spring Break. Did you get someone to tape Barbara Walters for you?
